Jacksons, Real, Responsible & Delicious Food
The delicious chicken and avo wrap is far from the only reason to dine at Jacksons. Their omelettes are exquisite. The service is friendly. Best of all, the ingredients are all wholesome and locally sourced.
Over the year or so since Jacksons opened at its new, larger location in Bryanston, I have dined there on a number of occasions. The café at Jacksons is one of the rare places to which I occasionally drive out of my way just for a good meal.
Jacksons philosophy is all about wholesome, local, sustainably sourced products. So, when you dine at the café, you know you are getting the best food money can buy. At the same time, you are actively supporting the small farmers and producers in our local community.
Jacksons selects their ingredients based on taste, quality, nutritional value and price. Their suppliers are small, South African farmers who produce their food with organic and biodynamic principles and ethos.
The café does have some indoor seating. However, as far as I am concerned, the best seats in the house are outside on the expansive terrace.
It is a stunning spot to sit on a beautiful day. Sitting in the sunshine with a wholesome meal in front of you, it’s easy to forget you’re still in the city.
The service is casual, friendly and unobtrusive. If you are on a tight schedule, you can easily get in and out in a hurry. However, if you’re in a more relaxed mood, the staff never make you feel rushed. Rather, you can take your time, sip your coffee and enjoy the birdsong.
Jacksons’ menu changes seasonally. So, you can expect to eat the freshest produce. I am yet to have a meal that I didn’t enjoy.
The café caters for low-carb, reduced sugar, and healthy fat options. Thus, even those on special diets can easily find a variety of menu options.
Best of all, the prices are affordable. In fact, I am frequently delighted to find my tab at Jacksons compares favorably with other casual dining establishments in the area.
